Photo Access Card

Beginning February 1, 2007, photo access cards will be mandatory for all leaseholders and legal occupants at least 16 years of age living in your household. You may come to the Management Office beginning on Monday, January 8, 2007, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30am to 4pm to have your picture taken and your access card issued.

If your work schedule prevents you from coming in during these hours, please call 212 340-4215 and we will arrange for an appointment to fit your schedule.

A Photo ID is required before an access card can be issued, so be sure to bring one with you.

If you now have a Laundry Room Card only, please be sure to bring it with you when you come in for your new photo ID card.

Approximately 93% of all residents have been enjoying the following benefits of a Photo card:

  1. Access to the Plaza after Dark
  2. Quick Entry Through the Lobby Door with your Photo Access Card
  3. Quick Entry to the “A” Level
  4. Rapid Exit from the Garage on the “C” Level for Monthly Parkers
  5. Bracelet-free 4th of July
  6. No searching for keys (except for apartment door)
  7. Enhanced Security in the Buildings
  8. Improved Doorman Service

Guests/Visitors

The photo access card is solely for your use and should not be shared with houseguests or visitors. If you expect a visitor for the day only, we assume you will be at home and the doorman will call you and permit your guest to come to your apartment. If you expect a guest for more than a day, you must fill out a Guest Request Form at the Management Office with the name and arrival and departure dates, a copy of which will be given to your doorman.  If you are not going to  be at home when your guest arrives, or if you will be away for the duration of your guest’s visit and he/she has your keys, your guest will be granted entry to your apartment only if a proper Guest Request Form has been completed. No Exceptions will be made to this policy.  Prior to your guest’s arrival, check with the doorman to be certain he has the name on the list.

Nannies, home attendants housekeepers and cleaning persons who provide service to your household on a regular basis will be listed with the doorman and will have entry at the Lobby (Plaza) Level. If your nanny is bringing your children home from school and is known to the doorman, access will be granted at the “A” Level.  Again, it would be a good idea to make sure the doorman has your nanny’s name on his list.

We will have the Household Composition Form at your doorman’s desk. We suggest that you complete and submit an updated form to insure that we have accurate information on your household members and employees.

If you already have someone staying at your apartment that that Management is not aware of, you must come to the office and fill out a Guest Request Form. Please be aware that you may not give the name of a guest to the doorman on your own; this information must come from the Management Office only. Beginning on January 31, 2007, all guests not listed with the Management Office will be denied access, whether or not they have your keys.

Doormen will no longer “buzz” people in at the “A” Level or Plaza (Lobby) levels.  You will be expected to carry and use your photo access card to gain entry. Delivery persons and visitors will be required to come to Lobby (Plaza) Level.  However, should you expect someone, who due to a disability, needs access to  “A” Level, inform the doorman in advance of the name of your guest and an exception will be made.  Since we have several shifts of doormen and sometimes rotating shifts, please do not be offended if the doorman asks to see your card; this is his job.  If you should forget your card, you will have to provide a photo I.D. to enter.

Please keep your card safe. Replacement fees are $10.00 for the first loss and $25.00 for subsequent losses.

If you have any questions, please call Faith Jacobs at 212 340-4215.

The photo access card is solely for your use and should not be shared with house guests or visitors.  Effective immediately, this shall be considered to be a building rules and regulation. Violation of this building rule and regulation will constitute a violation of your lease of tenancy, which violation would require that the owner take appropriate steps in order to ensure that its rights are fully protected.
